Traditional “KUMIKO” Crafts Woodwork

Kumiko work is a traditional Japanese woodworking technique in which wood is assembled into geometric patterns without the use of nails. It is a delicate technique in which thinly ground and split wood is grooved, drilled, and holed, and then assembled one by one using a planer, saw, chisel, or other tool to make adjustments. You can experience this Kumiko work and challenge to make a coaster. (It will be very great Japanese souvenir.)
